The Lady Spartan Lacrosse High School teams compete in the South Division of the Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League (TGHSLL) with other lacrosse clubs in the greater Houston area. Since lacrosse is not a UIL sport, school district nor other UIL district designations have any impact on the league game schedule.

The high school program is open to any high school aged girls (grades 9 - 12) who are zoned to attend Stratford High School.  Our program is also inclusive of girls who attend other SBISD High Schools or private schools which do not have their own girls lacrosse program.

We field a Varsity and  Junior Varsity squad.

The schedule for each year is unique, but the High School program generally runs early October through April according to the following schedule:

  • 2 practices a week in the Fall

  • 3 practices a week in the Winter/Spring

  • 1 or 2 weekend tournament/play days before the holidays

  • 1 or 2 weekend tournaments/play days in the Winter/Spring

  •  League Play mid-Feb to mid-late April (1 game per week typical)

  • No lacrosse scheduled during major holidays and Spring Break

Most tournaments/play days are in the greater Houston area but we do intend to do at least two traveling events per year to College Station, Dallas, or Austin.  We may consider additional tournament/traveling opportunities for the Varsity squad.
