2019-Another great year for Stratford Girls Lax!

Stratford Girls Lacrosse came into 2019 season ready to prove that going to state in 2018 last year was not a fluke. They won the Cowboy Cup (fall tournament) in Dallas and competed well at Burning Flower tournament in Houston in December. Aggieland saw the varsity advance not just to bracket play for the first time ever in this tournament, but to the championship game; our middle school team and JV team also advanced to bracket play, the first time that all three teams had made it out of pool play in the same tournament!
  • In District play, varsity finished in a three way tie for first place at 8-1 and advanced to state for the second year in a row, being selected as a wild card entry for state.
  • Congrats to seniors Hannah Harrington and Meredith Schomburg for being named to TGHSLL All-state team for the second year in a row; joining them are sr goalie Marissa Hormell, junior defender Clare Gibennus and sophomore attack Lillie Baird! Stratford had five of the 12 spots on the All-state squad!
  • Congrats also to junior Lindsay Hutchins and sophomore Caroline Paul, who were selected to the All-District team

Middle School

  • Finished the year strong by taking third place in city in their Division!
